We should look into educating those on Military bases through participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program events. These events help members prior to and after deployments. They serve as a one stop information session for these persons and the family members as well. Including parents, friends, partners, etc.
What is the greatest challenge that transportation providers face in establishing partnerships with VA Centers, MSOs and VSOs? What resources could be developed to help transportation prviders overcome these challenges?
The MV-1 http://www.vpgautos.com/experience-MV-1/mobility-vehicle-features is a wheel chair accessible van, and in my state would only require a chauffeur’s license to operate (not CDL). I would like to know if the DAV or other volunteer transportation provider has added this vehicle to their fleet and the overall thoughts of choosing this option versus a passenger van or paratransit bus?
